I've been out next to this one many times on Stellwagen bank.
Their website gives a bit on what they think of it compared to others.

I rode on the Elizabeth Thomas that is on Lowells web site. The boat was a beast! Rode a great head and following and sat great. 19knots with 700hp and the owner said it was very good on fuel. It's a very big 43. I plan on upgrading from my NB in a few years and this will most likely be my hull, only other boat that I personaly like as much would be the 42 Duffy but the Lowell felt bigger.

I was on the Karen Lynn back in Sept. 09 for a full day tuna charter on Stellwagon Bank out of Gloucester MA.
It was a dead flat day.
Beautiful boat, 800 hp Scania diesel. Well thought out layout.
Can't remember the cruise speed...16-17 knots maybe.

We hooked up late in the day. Bingo!!! lift up a small hatch, pop on the steering wheel..and we had a transom/helm station.
Neat.
