16' "Harbormaster skiff" project

    Progress on the Hatteras is going well, just been busy with work which is what kept it from going in the water this year. Pretty much done with all the major work, just have all the little odds and ends (they add up). Should be in early this coming Spring. I would post a thread here but its not a “ downeast”, although without the flybridge it looks a lot closer to one...

    Update,
    So the women I got the boat from asked jack if “Dyer” rung any bells, he said “it was built by Jack Callaghan”, anyone heard of him? Google search found nothing.

    That boat was given to Jack by a friend over 30 years ago. As I recall it was a prototype and old. I'm talking in the middle to late 1950's possibly early 60's. It was a bare hull and I cannot remember if it was an inboard at one time. It had been torn apart from whatever it was. Jack made it a center console and the rest is history.
