This has been posted and talked about before but Price change recently warrants repost. Bet you get for near what we paid for our bruno.
Lot of boat for affordable money if it surveys ok. . She’s a SOLID hull boat so little to worry about there and that engine combo will still be running years from now.

That's nice looking boat Cap. Imagine 39 years old and looks that good. Speaks highly of the maintenance. Even the engine being painted looks good. One of my pet peaves is when a guy paints his engine and paints right over hoses, clamps, wiring etc. Even from a rattle can you can get a good job if done right. I would rather see an engine not touched than being hidden under a crappy paint job.

I have seen this boat listed for a long time now... Looks really nice, I wonder what she cruises with the 210 in there. I am assuming slow but very steady! Definitely a nice boat if it fits your needs.

I used to know the previous owner, he told me the boat will cruise at about 14kts.

This boat is not cruising 14kts with a teak deck and 210 cat. I had the identical boat, no teak, 3208T, 260hp. Happy if I got 13-14kts, 15- 16 WOT.
That being said awesome boat if you don't mind 11kts or you have a 375hp 3208 Cat laying around somewhere...

Maybe that was 14kts with the wind and tide. IDK just going by what he told me. The previous owner was a boat finisher in Maine prior to moving to RI.

Just checked the old listing from Gray and Gray and here is how it was advertised:
True or not this is in line with the other listings with the 210.
    • Cruises at 12-13 knots @ 2500 RPM @ 4.5 gph.
    • Maximum speed: 16 knots @ 2800 RPM @ 8 gph.

    1984 Nauset 35 flybridge
Those numbers seem a lot closer to reality. Our Nauset seems to be fairly efficient for this hull, esp with the modified keel. With a 350hp CAT 3126 with significantly more torque we cruise at 16.5kts at 2400 and do 21 in the corner at 2900.

If I were betting I'd say 12kt cruise on this one. Still a good boat for someone.
