Well life has changed a bit and as much as I love the boat, especially after the re-power, it's time to let it go to a new good home.

2006 34' Libby for sale, with a very low hour(122hrs!) 5.9 QSB 480hp Cummins. ZF280 gear, 2/1 ratio, 2" shaft, spinning a 24x23 wheel. The hull and cabin sides are foam cored, all through hull decored properly. Truck cabin and the roof are balsa cored. Two 150 gallon tanks and a large center hold. Simrad NSE-12 plotter/radar, AP24 autopilot, Furuno FC-632 sounder and two VHF radios. The boat has an inside and outside helm with hydraulic hauler. 10x10 cockpit with ample storage. All of the wash rails are solid glass, no coring. At launch last summer we were cruising 22kts at 2800rpm and 15gph. WOT was 27knots, 95% load at 3450 RPM.

The boat isn't perfect, and needs some cosmetic work here and there. I spent last winter re-powering it and went through the mechanicals, and haven't gotten to cosmetics yet. I have my hit list of projects Ill be completing over the winter, and the price will firm up as spring gets closer. She will be launched on time in April and I'll use the boat until it sells.

Ask price is $165,000, negotiable as I said, there is some cosmetic work needed. I work away from home but can arrange to have the boat shown with a decent heads up.

Thanks guys, she's an awesome boat, roomy, comfy, and very capable. I'm sure I'll end up regretting the sale, but there is always another boat out there.

I forgot to mention, there is a flybridge and a tower that can be included in the sale if the new owner so desires.

John say it ain't so! You did quite a bit of work on this boat and when I saw it in BBH I thought what a tuna fishing machine. Good luck with sale and what the future holds, I would think this will not be on the market very long with the new engine and low fuel consumption. Best of Luck.

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate all the complients, she really is an awesome boat. But there's always another boat, and my slip will need something tied up to it.

How does a 34 Libby compare to other Downeast in its size for rough seas and it coming from all different directions (head, beam, following) ?
It appears to push easy and get good speed @ your posted 22kts and wide open in high 20s.
I’m guessing it’s a bit narrower beam to achieve those speeds ?
    Beautiful looking boat !
I doubt it will on the marker very long.

I've never had an issue with it in rough seas, but haven't had it out in anything crazy. I've had no issue in a following sea, but the rudder is large and the boat responds quickly. It's actually pretty wide for its length, 13' beam, it absolutely dwarfed my 36 Crowley.

Here's a couple pictures showing her size, rafted up next to a 38' Holland and the second picture next to my old 36 Crowley
