    I cant tell any stories till the smoke clears, meanwhile , why doesn't John Deere make a 1000 hp

    I prefer the Deere product too, especially in commercial boats. With the new EPA regs for comm boats, I doubt we'll see anything over 805hp for a while.

    Yea, dunno. No demand for anything in the agro world I guess, for something with larger displacement and power. I can't imagine squeaking more ponies outta the 13.5L block. Their marine line of engines is a very small piece of the pie, compared to the whole company.

    Was that engine your boy put in 1,000, or 803 hoss?

    They did what we wanted them to do, they made it drier on deck when steaming. We hauled out my other sons boat, and added a set to her , but used the small spray rail, so they may grab a bit more water. The idea was to not have them where the traps would catch on them. We have 3 different 42s, and they all sail different.One is extra heavy built, and performs close to the other 2 with 100 hp less.
