Test fitting the tab... If anyone is having trouble glassing in this cold weather; I started using this product called DMA. 2 drops per quart. Stuff really works well.
Started the port side today for the trim tab recess
Glassed in the port side, cut out for actuaters, and started building the mold for actuaters.
Fiberglassed the mold and test fit it with actuater and tab.
Braced the mold and removed the actuater and trim tab for glass. Going to tab in a few spots and then remove braces. Then build up with biaxle 1708
Some more pics of the actuater molds
Looking good Tom.
A lot of work going on there! I needed the inspiration. Thanks!
GREAT JOB TOM
Sanding, shaping and then fair. Going to cut in a notch with a router for a custom fiberglass plate to finish it off
Routered in a notch for a recessed cover. Glassed up 6 layers of 1708 to be a thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut them a little short of the bottom to allow water to pass
Nice attention to detail! Looks fantastic.
