Chinese Made Fuel/Water Separator

    bout 7-8 yrs ago I had a local truck service place order a couple of fuel filters (FS19513 20 mic) "Fleetguard" spin ons. Not sure where were ordered from but both were non OEM Fleetguard filters "take offs" and a lousy paint job on the red lettering.
    The screw threads on the filter heads were no match for the Seabord SMX filter screw threads. Junk. I think I may still have them.

    Despite the bad rap that Chinese products have, we have enabled them to advance their technology and manufacturing standards. Much has been improved over the last 10 years. I don't like it, nor would I recommend these filters. However, I would not be surprised if they turned out to be fine. Still you have to wonder about them just based on the price alone.
