interested in buying a boat located in the Hampton’s on Long Island. It’s 17 feet wide and I need it brought to cape cod. Fairly positive it’s too wide for over the road, so wondering what it would cost to tow it to Hyannis mass via water. It doesn’t have its own power, so I can’t steam it. Anyone with an idea of the cost of that tow I’d like to hear from you. Thanks in advance!

I'm sure Charlie Mitchell would do it if he has enough water at the boats marina to get the Tug Jaguar in and out.
Conrad Roy (New Bedford,Ma.) maybe worth a call too.

Have you thought of a hydraulic trailer onto to the New London Ferry. Might be cheaper going by land than by sea.

I sold a project post 42 to a guy that wasn't quiet able to go under its own power when he had to have it moved from the Plymouth boatyard it was in. They launched it and he had it towed to boston using towboatUS or the other one. He just had to pay the differential mileage as it was somehow covered to have it moved to his home port while disabled. May be a stretch in your situation but somehow he did it.

I got a call a few years ago to move a Topaz from MV to CT, started to become real sketchy when others turned it down. There is a big difference what Tow Boat US/SeaTow will do, especially once you tell them the boat doesnt have engines, it changes the game, years ago I know it had to do with insurance for them, taking a vessel on, vs. moving a vessel. Have to imagine what you get officials tugs in place, it starts to get crazy pricing...

I might be able to help you out but need more information about the boat and locations.
