some of you guys may recognize this boat from the classifieds last year.
Well my dad bought and was finally able to get transported from Maine to MD where it was originally from. Capt Karl made the transaction very easy, couldn't ask for a nicer guy to deal with!

It needed some glass work, but after further inspection he decided it would be best to start over due to wood rot.

He won't be repowering it yet, has a low hour and recently rebuilt 3208n CAT. So for now that's what's gonna stay in it. Not looking for a speed boat, just something reliable. Primary use will
Be going back and forth to smith island MD and some fishing in tangier sound.

Great project, no time wasted there getting down to the bones. Are you guys going to stick with the "western" wheelhouse?

I appreciate it Dave! I'm sure it won't be last one either.

Josh loves that boat he bought you guys, finally got a chance to take it through some rough weather. Said it handled it like a champ.

No sir I think he's gonna change the style, probably something more modern. And I think he's gonna shift the cabin further forward to gain more deck space.

The boat has been sitting here for a few months. We started working on it Friday, and finished stripping it Saturday around noon.

Still have maybe 1 more full day of work to remove the deck, teak molding, swim platform etc.

probably removed about 3,000 lbs so far. Once everything is replaced it should still be about 2,000 lbs lighter than the original weight

Must confess I thought the previous design was one of the best & most distinctive ever seen on a Bruno.

Look forward to seeing the different rebuild & glad she's getting a new lease on life!

Was this the boat that Farrins finished? I also did like it also with that top and the west coast windows.

I think a lot of people like the look of this Bruno because the overall look of the house was just right in scale for the boat.
    I know I did.
Had me this thinking of doing that style on my new project but I don't know if it would fly visually on a NB.
    Good luck with your project.

I called and asked them before he bought the boat and they told me they've never finished a bruno hull.

I thought it looked great with the west coast style windows. Stopping the glare problem with the forward rake is a big advantage.
