Still a direct drive setup, keeping the same 3208n cat motor in it. The floor has been modified so it’s all one level now, it was flush the the top of the motor in the wheel house, and stepped down about 10” going out to the rear deck. The one level floor is really nice, the boat looks more sporty now because of it, the cabin roof was able to be lowered too. From the research I’ve done on the hull, they only go so fast. Adding more HP doesn’t seem to really puch them any quicker lol I know a lot of weight has been removed from the hull, We removed more than 3500lbs before we took it to the Mickeys shop ( the man doing the work). And he removed about 1500-2000 lbs more. It will probable be about 1-1.5 tons lighter, all of the was above the floor. So it should be a little quicker and handle better.
