Been searching for a bluefin capable flouro mainline or bulk flouro at reasonable prices for topshot for years.. I know others make special orders direct for this sort of stuff (they get factory direct flouro in a skein), there's a tackle shop or two who can do it, but I never managed to connect with them when I tried and it's just not that available given most of us can't walk into a store and buy it or order it online...

Actually have even made suggestions to Berkley and others who make flouro mainlines extend their offering up to 130 lb as it should be a good seller (many make flouro main lines but most stop at 80 lb) - got a dumbass response from Berkley once, obviously the person on the other end just didn't get it.

But I happened to be sitting on the crapper reading a catalog the other day and this product was in it - 250 yards of 125 lb flouro, available online for about $160. It's 1.2 mm, which ought to be a good range for LI crimps and similar to the mono diameter we run today. Not sure how it will unpack, it's on the spool kinda tight, but should be workable one way or the other. I figure if I skimp a bit I can do 2 reels w/ 125 yards/$80 each and that should be sufficient. Ought to be as fishy as it gets.

This brand has been around since the mayflower landed so either they have been offering it and I never found it or they just started, whatever the case ordered some and it showed up - looks good so far.

Bobby - actually that has been proven to work OK too, but all I'm doing is changing my Jinkai topshot out for this flouro, everything else will be the same, still going to run the same long very clean leaders like we always do.

.Bobby, all the years before Floro. everyone ran Mono right to the hook. No problemo and the best part was you could crank the fish right up for an easy poon shot.
