Speed, stupidity, ignorance, dopey, nieve.... pick one
Not sure where/when this happened but its been making the rounds on Instagram recently. Beauty of a boat.
Boy that looks like the Peter Kass that is for sale
That boat built by Peter Kass was called TIMBER when first built....What a shame and soooo sad for such a beautiful boat !!!!
They were towed off a sand bar in patchoge earlier in the day
Bad boating day Here ya go
Same boat runs aground twice on the same day? You've got to be kidding?
That's pretty typical on Long Island in the summer. Bad on week days. Terrible on weekends and damn scary on holidays.
I Believe new boat and new Captain, ' I feel for them' Good thing is no one got hurt Probaly just pride !
In dignity only...
Depth finder isnt like a golf score, doesnt get better as it gets lower
You are acting like you've never ran aground twice in the same day .
Seriously, after the first time going high and dry, you would think the guy would slow down and be a little more careful next time.
I hope they are just waiting for high tide !!!!!!!!!!
Give em a New Moon tide and they can't see the Rocks !!.
I was almost T boned 2 weeks ago Saturday just east of shelter island in LI at 11 am on a sunny day running my 36’ boat at 20 kts by a 40’ express running maybe 35kts in calm open water/sunny day/1 mi from any land. The other boat was the burdened vessel (his job to change course). I could see the driver at the wheel as I cranked my boat hard to starboard and about 10 mins later heard radio chatter from people running for their lives from the same boat/guy.
They are out there....
And all the debris
