I put a new kobelt 2046 in my Dad's sisu this spring and I can't get it to stop creeping back. Does anyone have any experience with how to fix this?

There is a tension screw. I have Kobelt controls and have had to tighten up my throttle tension a year or two ago. Not sure what model my controls are but I just had to pull the bezel off the controls and tighten with a screwdriver from the front on my particular setup

I have the same issue on my Morse controls, I just put a small bungee cord on it

The tension screw should be a allen head on the back side of the throttle control. There is a plastic puck with a spring under the allen screw.

There is a allen head in the handle on a Morse control. People used to take it out, and but a bolt in there so it was easier to hold the tension . Most all boats back years ago thet had Morse controls, and a GM had a Dexter Russel knife jammed it the handle to hold it in the desired position
