352.JPG Hi all, Looking for permit, was wondering if anyone has any leads. I'm aware of most of the broker sites, thought I'd start here and see if anyone know anything.
    Thanks Tom

I'm confused - what is a swordfish handgear permit versus the regular gen cat swordfish permit (which is open access $20 online) ?

Swordfish handgear is unlimited retention limit, general category is 6 fish/day/trip

... that, and a handgear permit allows you to fish buoy gear (but said gear can't be on the boat if you fish for or land a BFT).

I don't know how you guys do it,
do you call your lawyer before you set out from port to see if you are legal

I couldn't imagine working in an industry trying to make a living
with the amount of government oversight you have to deal with.
    on a daily basis
