Where are you located? I might be upgrading to a 2” shaft and could definitely use them

    You got it, Jerry!

Gotta get my hands on a caliper today and get down to the boat and do some measuring to be sure that I've got the tolerences between prop and stern bearing all while still squeezing in the shaft anode. Thanks!

Jerry .. got my hands on a micrometer yesterday and things are a go. I'm probably looking at coming your way on Thurs or Fri this week. Coordinating with a surveyor buddy in W. Durham to rendezvous with him too. I'll send you a text on Tuesday so that we can figure out when to sync up.
    Thanks - Kevin

Thanks Jerry .. good meeting you today and thanks for the tour of the yard. Small world with my tag along buddy JP knowing your brother.

Looking forward to getting the Spurs tuned up with some new teflon bearings and a new anode. I'll probably send it down to Spurs for the full once over this time around. Thanks again!

    Follow -up ...

I sent one set down to Spurs for a tune up and then I mounted the holding block last Monday for the Spurs Line Cutter and launched on Saturday. Was a bit concerned with all of the new hardware that I'd have a vibration or even worse ... lose some performance. Neither has occurred and I've gained some security. .3125 - 18 thread II.jpg 2 inch Spurs II.jpg

1st: Used a punch, small drill bit then 1/4" bit before using the 5/16 - 18 starter tap and then finished with a bottoming tap

2nd: Had to cut off 1 thread of each holding block bolt length to fit / apply red loc-tite & lock washer

3rd: Fit the cutter and then, per Spurs recommendation, I filled the exposed shaft length with zinc anodes so that a rope can't accumulate in the void

Thanks again Jerry for putting these up on the forum. Very, very much appreciated!

Good to see them put to use. They had been paper weights for some time.
