Made it to Kenai yesterday, 1,600nm total. Feels good to have it sitting in the river. Need to change the oil, clean her up, load the fishing gear, and make some money. Salmon prices are really high to start the season, hope they stay there, the fishermen need to have a good season.

Reds started off at $10lb on the copper river, they only fished 2 openings then they shut the flats down due to no fish showing up. The whole fleet, aprox 500 boats, is in prince william sound right now and its been ok but not great, last i heard $3 for reds & .90 for chums. Hope you guys get plenty of fish & fishing time in the inlet.

Steve, so they are allowing some fishing in PWS? Last I heard things were shut down there, but I guess I'm not up to speed.

Reds started at $3/pound here, we are hoping it stays real high, I heard the Bay is getting $2/lb, be interesting to see how strong the prices stay through July.

they have had at least 2 24hour openings per week in the sound since they started fishing there and it think they just got a extra 24hrs. They also opened up the terminal harvest area since the hatchery finished with cost recovery with the dogs. Sell that CI permit and get into the pws fishery longer season and i'd bet a lot more $$$.

not Homer i live in Palmer the mecca of pikerdom in Alaska, been here since end of march !! My latest project was a rope stand to mount coils of rope on with a removable side plate so i can slide the coils over a core clamp on the side and roll the rope off the outside of the coil. I'm tired of fighting twists and assholes when pulling rope out of the center of the coils.

Been through Palmer a few time myself and yeah it does remind me of Pikerville. Yeah i hear you about doing the Twist, it gets tiring . And there so many Assholes doing it. :) I always wondered Who TF ever came up with that idea. Nothing about it even makes a little sense to me. Well you make me feel better, I always thought it was just ME !!! :)

Oil changed, cleaned up, net and gear on the boat, tied up in the river with my fishing buddies. Patriot is owned by a good friend, it's a 37 Wegley my dad and I built in 2012, Blue Back is my dad's bowpicker, it's a 37' Oceanaire we brought up in 2016. Going fishing tomorrow! 20180630_184133.jpg

I got an email from ABYC with the class schedule. It would seem there are some classes in Seward, Alaska. I wonder if the yard would send me out there?
