Can anyone recommend a product and technique they use to polish their dry stack?
Was it polished at one time and it needs an update, or is it a mill finish that you wish to buff out? Look at eastwood.com for buffing kits with proper polishing compounds. Forget about using a drill and buy an angle grinder that is suitable for buffing and adapt the buffing wheels to fit. It's a lot of very dirty work, but the results will make you smile in that mirror finish. There is no short cut for this. If you want it to shine like chrome, you have to put the grunt work into it......or pay someone to do it for you.
Is it stainless? I had a lot of polished stainless on a old drag car, it was the only thing that stayed polished. I don't think exhaust temps on a diesel re hot enough to "blue" a stack either.
It was polished not that long ago but needs some touch up. Thanks for the responses and advice.
Here it is. Some salt and light rust
Powder cleanser then Flitz.
