A greeting to everyone from Italy.
I'm present, my name is Paolo and I own a 40 ft fly boat with two 425 cv CAT 3208, an ARS MARE 38 of an Italian shipyard that has long since stopped production.
Now I would like to remodel it with two IVECO FPT NEF 67 from 450 cv. Did some forum users have experience with these engines regarding reliability and performance? Here in Italy, FPTs are very popular on commercial boats, but less on pleasure boats.
If you have any information, I would be very grateful to you!

    Welcome Paolo!!

I cant help you with the FPT but there are a few forum members who have those brand of engine that may be able to comment.

I'll be the first to say, but we love pics.
Would be nice to see your "Italian" vessel.

    Post up some pics!!

Buon giorno. As you are from Italy my suggestion would be to talk to the locals who own and use these engines. Performance is one thing but support and service/ parts is the other two thirds of fhe equation. Although it may not matter much, it's quite possible that engines in Europe are set up differently than thoses in the US. I believe you guys are one step ahead emissions wise. Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

I googled it. It's not a DE by any exaggeration. Nice boat though.

    That doesn't bother me.

Hi and thanks for the answers.
I made a change of program and decided to repower with the CAT C7.1 replacing the 3208 425 cv that had been mounted before.
They tell me very well about these engines, you in United States, what do you think?
    This is my boat...
