It won't be long before we get those first few eddies and the itch to go check them out. So post up your 2018 reports from up and down the coast.
It would be cool if we had some southern reports to let the northern guys know when the Bluefin are venturing north.

I wonder how the guys down south did this season, if they had a crazy season like we did

Thought I read somewhere that the southern quota has been caught already. I could be wrong though.

    Saw this on FB:
Closing for the rest of the year, effective TOMORROW! Please share so anglers are aware and do not end up with a fine.

NC season was insane. some of the biggest fish they have even seen. Got lucky enough to get in on the action. It was savage. 1st light bite. 4 hours later we had 103 inch 700lber tied off. Everyone around us was tight, back to the dock by noon.

Yes. Our season was great here in NC out of Oregon Inlet. I didn't see a fish under 95". Unfortunately we were closed out by NOAA pretty early. Beginning of March. I wish we were allotted more quota and we will be asking for it in the upcoming year. 30 MT is not a drop in the bucket to what is here and it is ate up quickly even with the 1 fish/trip limit. We are still seeing giants and are releasing multiples daily when we can get out to fish. They are still here now pretty thick.
Here's my largest of this winter season 2018. 574lb cored 108" More photos on IG if you want to check them out: Hitmansportfishing IMG_5754.JPG

NC was on fire this year, wish it was open longer. Hope to have the Provider down there next season. 103 with a 560 core.

I would be willing to bet there are fish off Chatham already or will be very shortly.

There are always a few bunches off shore before June so anytime now. They are sticking them in June so we cant be that far off.
