Hi all, my name is Alex and I am new to the forum and ready to buy the new boat. I will go fishing with my two kids and have decided for something between 24 to 26ft. I am wondering whether I should buy something with twin engines or single engines. Contender and Regulator are two of my favorite brands, hence, can you help me recommend some models?

No John, he is in the right forum...just the wrong boats.
I would go with General Marine as my first pic
    Home - General Marine, Inc.

    Banks Cove as my second.
Banks Cove 22 Pemaquid Marine 207-677-2024

    And Padebco as my third.

I would twist some arms at Mack Boring to see if I could get a hold of an OXE diesel outboard, if not that I would go with a Honda.

Welcome we need more info. Are you looking for day outings, weekenders, maybe a week? Are your kids small, preteen or younger? If so, a good cuddy for them to crash in and keep from overheating in the sun is good. I prefer a single diesel engine. As long as you keep it up, there should be no problems or breakdowns. Will this be a trailer trawler or kept on the water? There are more questions but let us get headed in the right direction before piling on the rest of the questions and replies.
