The show made Garon Mailman look like a buffoon last year on the Bounty Hunter (the guy from Maine that didn't know how to fish around dogfish). He went back on Tuna.com (aired this past Sunday)... still didn't paint him in the best light. The show is completely staged. But they do make good money per/show.

You talking to me? LOL. "What about it?" Just that there was some history with "Father Tuna" and he landed a lot of fish out of a small boat starting out, so he had a reputation for catching fish. Are these things true? I'm not here to gossip or start some shit. As for George's Bank, it didn't involve Pinwheel and I'm not getting into it beyond that there was some epic fishing and some guys got a lot of fish two or three years ago. Out.

Well I know the show is full of shit so do most guys on this board. The only reason I still watch it is I DVR it so I can skip through it.

Many of those stories are best told at the dock or the bar; they are not for the World Wide Web, come in. If somebody wants to tell their own story, fine but I'm for privacy for the stuff that's not on TV. As for Wicked Tuna, I think it might be heavily edited and biased to suit a hidden agenda.

I'm no expert to question whether he is just a run of the mill fisherman or not, but he's out of Saco Maine. Has a center console, Angler Management. He has some YouTube videos, and seems to have killed his fare share of tuna.

That's what I told my son when we were watching it last year and the new episode the other night. He said"wow I'm surprised they brought someone "new" on the boat." I told him that from what I have seen and heard he is very successful and certainly not "new". I love watching the show...it makes me think that one day I may actually catch a tuna LOL.

Its entertaining to say the least, I just hope it doesn't have the same effect as the show Swords on discovery. I know quite a few of those guys and the show made them look, well like a bunch of clowns. Plus shows like these tend to reach the wrong audience. I'm sure PEW and PETA are all over it! It would be nice if when they showed the BFT statistics they (NatGeo) also put more emphasis on the fact that U.S. and Canadian fisherman are the most regulated and compliant concerning H.M.S. and the real problem is across the pond, but I guess that doesn't get ratings.

Yes, up until 2 years ago he fished out of a 25' Mako. There were times we spent over 8 days straight on the grounds waiting just waiting for a bite. We also had days where we couldn't even fit all three fish in that we would have two in the boat and the other hanging the transom with the motors. He's put in his time more than most. He learned the hard way, fishing a lot. Hes also fished with the best in the business growing up Cookie Murray, Spurge, Brad , Paulie, Evan just to name a few.

And yes the georges bite a few years back was beyond epic. He was in on it with the highliners before any of the weekend warriors ever got wind of it.
