I moved two years ago and gave this to a friend (north country boat works in Connecticut) two fair and fiberglass and I finally got it back today. It sat in storage for the last year and a half which was fine with me because I was busy with a new house. I’m pretty happy with how it’s looking for an 11’ boat! I just need to paint it! Find me a dinghy with more Downeast in her!
Sides are a little plumb but it looks great in person and its tough to pack all that into an 11' length- dont think I didnt try to find a way but just wasnt in the cards for this one. This is also the first boat I have ever built so lots to learn and it was pretty quick and dirty to start. the guys are Northcountry did me right for sure.
I am guessing it weighs maybe 100-110 lbs so its very light but rigid as hell. Should be fun and much better looking than the inflatable.
Will try to weigh it one of these days. Also still needs some hardware so it will get a little heavier.
@Quik Fix 16 he took a few very nice shop tools in trade for the work. I was moving and was without a workshop for about 2 years so rather than move an unfinished boat and put my tools in storage I told him to bring a trailer for all of it and (suprisingly?) he showed up! Great deal for them I think.
