OK, so's not to hijack the Spray Rails thread I decided to go here. I'm new to posting pictures, so bear with me [actually my first time showing my build]. First off, let me say I'm not the neatest worker, and I'm working in a confined space, so go easy on me for the mess. The plans are taken from John Gardners book, Small Craft for the hull and the top was taken from John Atkins Pollard 19. The hull is Cold Molded, and the rest of the boat is White Oak, Cherry, and Mahogony.

Picture # 1. the hull in my work shop after it was turned.
#2. the stringers. #3. the book I got the Hull lines from. #4. the hull being faired. #5. the interior [ Seat needs to be redone, the epoxy creaped, and the sole will be redone, not happy with the way the yellow epoxy in the joints look.

Looks great Joe, I had considered building that same boat in strip about 15 years ago and ended up building Gardner's 19' garvey from "Wooden boats to build and use"(page 198) instead.

Looks nice to me, a few days with a long board will have her faired up. Is the hull built cold molded? The cabin looks a lot like Atkins Ninigret one of my favorites. Keep up the good work.

Bob:
The boat is cold molded, and you are close, the Superstructure was taken from John Atkins Pollard 19. The side shown in the photo is just about complete with the fairing, and now I've started the other side. I got a little burnt on the wood work so I stopped for a while to do the fairing.
The push is on to get her ready for the summer, I still have to build an out board bracket and finish the trailer. But first I need to complete the interior[Superstructure]. Everything [wood work] will be covered with a couple of coats of epoxy, and then a top coat of automotive clearcoat. Now that I think about it, the boat may not be done this year. Just got to keep going till she's done....

Happy Holidays

I realize this is a very old thread but... Any pics of this finished? How does the boat perform and with what power?

I am very interested in building one myself.

Thanks.

Don't know why this site won't let me post more pictures. This is why I haven't been here in so many years...:mad::mad:
