I understand that the later model Sisu's are modified from earlier models. Can you tell me how the 1984 Sisu is different from the pre 1980 model?

i believe the modified hull design began in 1982. it allowed the sisu to go faster,while maintaining stability. i have an 83 ,22 foot.there are some old threads on THT.just search for sisu,and you will find them

Mark how has that Volvo treat you and yor family? Is it a 1984 engine (I assume it must be). How is it getting parts?

I have had good luck with marine parts express for all my filters and misc. parts. Never needed anything besides the standard oil/fuel/air filters...changed the thermostats and boiled the coolers/heat exchanger a few years ago...thats about it. The volvo is original to the boat. Not too sure about the Sisu 30' hull modification....I had seen some pics of a 1980 30'...didn't seem like it had the built in spray rail/strake on the bow. Looked like the 1980 had a soft chine like my boat.

Is the hull cored or solid glass?

Keel is solid glass...end grain balsa from the turn of the bilge up. Zero core issues...hull is rock solid. Come take a look

The ad on noreast expired...didn't push the sale of the boat too hard due to schedule conflicts. Boat is in the water ready to go..original owner...ask some questions...come take a look...
