What they are asking is way over priced in my opinion. It is a nice rig and a prooven hull but the boat is worth less than half the ask. Boat is almost 10 years old as well

I did not see a lower station either. Nice to have

The boat is a diamond on a new build I would est this boat at about 900K. The ask is fair market value in a fair market economy…however that is not our current state. A very big draw back is no lower station. 42 Wesmacs have great wheel house visibility and when the do do hits the fan, even in a battlewagon such as this it is nice to retreat to the bunker.
This boat will sell most likely for 70 to 75% of the asking price.

Labor would be brutal to replace this boat. I'm with MOJO 1.2-1.5 to replace especially when you take into account the finish. My guess is anything under $500K would be a good deal...$600K plus is all the money.

Wait a loooong time I bet. There are some boats out there that have been sitting on the market for 5 years and have had maybe one downward price movement of 5-10%. Some owners will sell if the right guy comes along but aren't giving it away (and yes some of those boats are overpriced). Others want it to move yesterday. A lot of variables in play on a boat sale, everybody's situation is different.

The problem is this is not a production run boat and there is no established market. So the value is relative. It does not mater what it cost or cost to replace. It's value is what you can actually get for it no more no less. Custom boats particularly in a off market can sell for under half replacement cost. Sailboats fair better than power. Boats more than 10years old also take a big hit. There are special boats that run against the general rule I don't know if this is one only a buyer with the $ could make that determination.

If you're seriously considering a 5-600k boat, pm me and I'll put you in touch with a friend who is "soft-selling" a Wesmac 50' that is MUUUUUUCH nicer than this one.

This boat is really something else.

Wilbur finish on Wesmac bones. That's gotta be worth a little extra just go look at what the Wilburs are selling for themselves. A veritable floating tank right there.

$550-650k ask all day long on this maybe even more.

This past July I bought a 2003 42 Wesmac finished by Wilbur with same power and similar finish. PM me and I will gladly discuss my price with you and opinion on this boat.
