Just picked my new hull up over the weekend. It is a 22 northern bay out of the 20 Calvin Beal design mold and stretched 2 feet. Honey comb stringers, bulkhead. Foam top deck out of their top mold, foam transom. Going to add inch thickness airex version of coosa to the transom to hold the bracket being made for the 150 etec. deck will also be honeycomb, already have some panels laid up. finish is a little rough right now, going to wet sand and buff hull hopefully get her to shine. Going to throw up some pics of the process so far. Appreciate all the help from all the guys I have spoken to on here. This is the second boat I have owned and both are probably because of this forum. IMG_3200.JPG

Thats a pretty cool boat. What made you decide to stretch it?

really just wanted the extra room. Although John and perry both rave about the 25 hull they have over in holland, which is essential just a stretched 20. thinking it will help the ride of this hull as well. Going to extended the keel two feet using the airex foam.

Looking forward to seeing it come together. I like the work you did on the console enclosure. Best of luck!

neat little boat, looking forward to seeing the progress and finished product.

Not to derail, but anybody know if the 43' x 15' NB that Morgan Bay was building is finished? Very curious about that hull.

Hull is 9 wide and 8 wide at the stearn. New shop is up and running, heated and all. They had a tough time getting that thing finished. How about the 48' NB they were planning? That still happening?

You Mentioned 4 38 NB's in the shop? Curious how big the crew is to keep 4 boats in play, are they complete hull and tops? Anyone out here having one built? Curious if they are sports, work boats, etc?
Your boat looks great and I like the dog house, good luck with the build and I look forward to seeing her come along. I am in talks now on a used 38 which is why I am curious about the flow of boats coming out of John's shop.

Its a small crew. I'm betting most are out the door to finishing shops, quite a few 38's hull and tops were laid up in my time talking to them. The 38 that was next to my boat, they were finishing as a rec boat for a commercial fisherman. John is always open to talk boats.
