That thing must fly with 300 hp

I spoke to the owner earlier today.
I'm "pretty sure" the engine is a 6BTA 315.
Boat has a 1.5:1 gear, 20X22 4 blade.
Easy cruise of 18 knots @ 2100 rpm.
20-22 knots 2300-2400 depending on tide/current.

He said the boat will plow through any (reasonable) sea conditions @ 18 knots with zero pounding.

Of course his primary boat is a 30 knot planing hull. :D

I was thinking the same thing. Great shape for an 89. There are no pictures of the motor though.

1989? Must have had a rebuilt. Cabin and bulkhead look alot newer

I'm don't believe the Cummins is a RECON or rebuilt.

This Cummins is a very early 6BTA with a welded after cooler...circa mid/late 80s. It fits the age of the hull, 1989.

The present owner sent me some pictures of the engine install in the boat.
