nice. What's up with the rudder gland? Is that how they do it? I saw a cracked rudder post, maybe? Engine looks immaculate.

Pretty sure I posted a picture of this boat when it was on it's mooring in tip top shape not that long ago. I looked but can't find it now.

Does anyone have experience with an auction like this? I see there’s a 15% buyers premium. I’m guessing that’s the auction house fee?

I think I talked to the boatyard about this boat about 6 weeks ago. Story then was they had a sale, at sea trial was a pretty big leak around rudder post, so they pulled her out and were going to examine/fix. But, he said they were too busy to do it then with fall commissioning etc. Sounded like they had the offer, were going to figure it out between buyer/seller, etc etc. no mention of bankruptcy etc. I was going to look at it, did a road trip to Mystic to look at one and Portland was only an hour away, but decided not to. Can’t remember any background on the seller and why the boat was for sale.

It looks like it has been re-powered. That's a 41P engine which didn't go into production until 1994. If Brian McDonnell did the install it was done right.
