So I'm very new to the site. . . .. really enjoy reading through all the posts and learning about the boats I love. . .. ..While reading through one of the classifieds I saw El Mar had responded with a photo of a boat near me. . . .. .he got back to me with it's location so I checked it out today. . .. .....thought I would pass along the info I got on it.

1991 26' General Marine
175 HP Izuzu diesel with ~9200 hours (NO rebuild yet)
90 gallon aluminum tank
Deck was replaced about 5 years ago and was pretty solid.
Used strictly as a work boat. He runs it around 1800 rpm burning about 1 gph. There's no head or bunks in her. Gary (the owner) purchased the hull as a kit and built the boat himself.. . ...he's building a 29' HH now. You can see from the picture (which I stole from El Mar!) she's got her working boat scars from hauling. With the hours on the engine I think the price is high. .. . . .but I'm new at this so. . .. . ..

Asking price $31K

Wow, seems high to me. I almost bought a similar vessel one year ago, with a 220 Isuzu for $19k. Had an accepted offer at that price, but it was an estate sale and the family decided they needed to sell all the pots and licenses with the boat so the deal fell apart as I had no interest in them.

Does that come with gear and licenses?

Raindropfx,
Sounds like you are less than impressed with the 26 General marine.
Have you any interest in an outboard powered, custom built 26 Seaway pilothouse?
I'm considering moving back UP to a 35-40 footer for 2013 as they have slightly relaxed the tilefish quota for next year. Jo:?:
