Just saw this on Facebook market place figure I pass it along to everyone
keep the engine and sell the boat, deal....Or, keep both.
Are they really that bad of boats? Seams like cheap money
Please tell me your boat make. Any more photos? Nice!
It’s a 24 nauset . It was posted on here 2 years ago . Needed windows , paint and some work to the gunnel. I’m looking for something a little bigger for my 2yr daughter and wife. Do you think I would be going backwards go to the pilot cove?
Yes! Stay away from that hull design. Your Nauset 24 handles 100% better and I believe it even has a wider beam than the Pilot Cove. There is a bunch of info floating around the forum regarding Pilot Cove boats, and not much is good. They might resemble a Fortier, but they are NOT a Fortier.
I agree that the Nauset 24 is a nice boat. If you want to go bigger look for a Webbers Cove 26 or 29'. Both are the same hull with one longer hull and the keel extended I believe. The AJ 28' is also a good boat, and don't forget the General Marine 26'.
Thanks guys, what’s your opinion on the 31 blues seas with a 3208 cat. It’s been sitting for a few years and been for sale for ever it seems. For $23k and a few grand in a injection pump . I don’t mind getting my hands dirty .
Royal Lowell design- I like that lifting/spray rails added to the hull. Looks like a big step up, and you can weekend on it with the family!
My buddy and I looked at her a couple years ago. At that time she needed mainly cosmetics, but the owner/yard couldn't get the motor to run so my buddy decided to walk away. He ended up getting another similar vintage Blue Seas with a Volvo...very nice boats.
