26' Webber Cove lobster boat.
To the best of my knowledge there is no such hull. I believe that Blue Hill Marine made a 25' a 28' a 31' a 32' a i believe that there were a few larger hulls but I am not familiar with them. Anyways, the 25 bhm is a nice little hull. The 28 is not much larger on paper but feels like twice the boat when aboard. I was looking at several 25 bhms when I was still hunting for a new boat. I liked them alot, but I ended Up with a 26' webber cove. Like the 25 bhm, the26' webber cove is a spencer lincoln design, but she is much roomier. She has almost 1-1/2' more beam. I had my heart set on a bhm, but I am glad that I ended up with my webber cove 26. Its a much more stable work platform. If you are looking for a 25 bhm. There is one in vinalhaven M.E. for 10,000. She is a little rough, but at that price, there is plenty of room for improvement. best of luck.

I have the mold for the 25 BHM. Great little boat. I have built them with gas and diesel. They go like hell. I have done them with volvos, yanmars, steyrs, and recently one with a tdi volkswagon v6, 260 h.p. I would like to try one as an outboard, lobster style and shave the keel. 250 4stroke , it would go like snot.

26bhm

the owner i have been talking to said it was a 26' bhm. Only one way to tell, bust out the tape measure. Thanks for the response. I thought that they never made a 26'. I'll go check it out. it comes with 4000hr 220 cummins. I would like to find one for my son. He said"dad I want to be a lobster man". That was music to my ears. I'm glad he didn't say, "Dad I want to sit on my butt and play video games". Get some fresh air boy.

Like I said. there is one in vinalhaven ME right now for 10,000. its an 86 I believe. 350 gm gas, borg warner 2:1 reverse gear, I think it has direct drive hydraulics. You could probably pick it up cheap. At that kind of money, you can't go wrong.

25x9ft 2". It will swing a 20 inch wheel. It will carry some weight and still go. It is not a Spencer Lincoln design.....

Mudhake - If it not a Spencer Lincoln design do you know who did design the hull? By the way, I love your 25 BHM lobster style pilot house design. I have some nice shots of the one with the VW turbo D in Wells. She's a beauty!

Sorry for missing that Mudhake. I did not recognize that name as a downeast boat designer. Is that the only hull he designed and how is it different from the Spencer Lincoln design other than the larger dimensions?

First off, I have no interest in the sale, but there is a 25 BHM on Maine's Craiglist that keeps me up at night. Go to boats and search "lobster boat". Gas engine, but that would not deter me If I had the cash. On paper, she looks good. ymmv.

HE 25 IS A TOTALY DIFFERENT DESIGN. tURNS IN HARD AT THE CHINE, AND A LOT FLATTER FROM MIDSHIP AFT. NOT AS DEEP IN THE KEEL, AND HAS A SLIGHT HOG DOWN IN THE LAST FOOT OR SO TO MAKE HER RUN FLAT. tHE BOAT IS A GREAT SEA BOAT FOR ITS SIZE AND FAST FOR LITTLE HORSEPOWER COMPARED TO TODAYS POWER. ADVERTISED AS THE BIGGEST LITTLE BOAT IN THE BAY FOR YEARS IN THE NATIONAL FISHERMAN AND THE COMMERCIAL FISHERIES MAGAZINE. IT IS WHAT IT IS, AND STILL A GREAT LITTLE BOAT....

Thanks for the details Mudhake on the 25. How is the boat on the drift? I fish alot of the rip tides on Vineyard Sound off the Cape and wondered if there was alot of roll with that hull design? Your 25 is on my short list for my next boat and it will be my first downeast style boat. I only wish I could afford to have you build me a new one. Thanks in advance.
