Does any body run hydro pump for power steering on there gear 280 zf was going that way but was not sure of size of pump . feed back will help thanks

My 280 is being fitted for one right now for my Hydroslave steering at the dealer. Where do you live?

I had one on the 280 in my Libby, worked well. Roses or Marine Hydraulics should be able to set you up.

Do you know what size pump they are installing also how big of tank is need for steering . I live in VA. thanks for the response

You'd be better of having them size it for you. Number of helms, autopilot, all that stuff will go into the sizing. @Dslpwr can help you as well, shoot him a message if he doesn't pop on.

Vickers V-10 13 tooth spline B-flange would be what I’d go with just in case you want to go larger down the road with a bigger pump if requirements change

Much as I worked for ZF we'd push that off on the steering or hauling people and be of little help. Nice work DP.

I know I’m doing a A flange but not sure of the pump yet. The hydraulics guy is supplying that but he told me to have transmission guys do that flange and install the shaft and note what spline gear they did and he would take it from there. I’m only doing steering, no hauler so no need for larger pump. He did suggest since my tank is older to upgrade from 6 to 12 gallons with a sight glass and temp gauge while I’m at it
