Chris.
What are planning on for the winter back door, a center slider ?
My advice, make it as wide as possible !
I would do a slider each side, one sliding towards to port, 1 to stb.
Nothing worse than a big fat guy standing in the way of a small door way !!!

Yes this boat has the pontoon seating I am going to make a bench seat over the winter but the pontoon seats are good for now. I am working hard to have this in the water for the fall tuna bite

30" is pretty small if you ask me ! Especially if you plan to tuna fish.
Guessing the winterback is about 10ft wide, I would take another 10" off each side, 2 doors, either slide or hinged. 50" wide opening.
Just my opinion.

Ronnie, Please elaborate on how the house door size will affect the ability to fish tuna. Thanks.

I know Chris plans to fish at anchor.
No mention of installing cockpit controls.
Someone will be at the helm and some one on the rod.
My opinion. A lot easier to communicate and see through a nice wide door opening or even better an open winterback.

I have to aggree with Ronnie. I have a similar set up and although I have plexiglass across the back and have a decent view, a wider door for communication and just trying to get by that one guy who always stands in the doorway would make life easier.

I have a sliding door on on starboard side and plan to move it into the center over the winter so I can add some controls on the back deck where the door is now. Do it while you can......Ronnie has some great vision, I followed his overhaul and it can be the simple touches that make life easier.

So far your changes to the H&H look great. Keep it up and keep us posted!
