Bill what did you think of the green one? I am pretty sure my friend just bought that boat. I have not seen it yet in person, only pics.

I mean I loved it..it we did about 20kts..the boat is like brand new.. some spider cracks etc and there was a hatch in the stern that was soft but an easy fix..the guy that owned it just went out the canyons with it like twice a year..that one had no keel as well.the tranny had been replaced after only a couple hundred hours but the yanmar was clean and ran well.ugly ass bow rail on it.. .Rodger Satini who built them liked them better without the keel but build them with and without the keel according to the order..

I saw in the newspaper that Rodger died last year. What happened to the molds? Are they still making them? They look like a really solid boat but I don't like the IB/OB design. Did they make them with a single screw and full keel?

There is something about one of the pics I really did not like...it might have been the rail. There are a few boats I would rather go to the canyons in before that one. Pretty sure he will take it there as well. I will not be going for the ride.

I have never seen one of these boats. Are they really a DE boat? What do they ride like in a bit of a sea? I tried to seek more information on line but did not find much.

The Ros boats were built in Westport, MA I believe. The owner passed away about a year ago. I was wondering what happened to the molds. His website used to show the build process and they were really stout boats with a deep V bow and hard chine with an I/O design. I know they made boats from 8' row boats up to 30' or so. You could buy kit boats or finished as I recall. I've seen a few in New Bedford, but I don't know how they perform.
