Downeast style boat with fly bridge and twin diesel Volvo Turbo engines (2x200hp - 800 hours each). Cape Dory only built about 15 of these 30 ft twins - it is said because the meticulous woodwork and strict manufacturing requirements of Cape Dory prevented them from recouping enough $$$ on such a "small" boat. That having been said, this 30' boat feels more like a 34 or 35 foot boat with it's 12ft beam. The interior and engines are in excellent condition - no "weird" boat smell etc.
- Boat designed with a substantial full keel to protect twin props, shafts and rudders from unexpected groundings. This keel also provides extremely accurate helm control in tight maneuvering situations and the ability to better track a straight course in unfriendly seas.
