One of the lucky ones.... Just sold my boat looking for another!
Just left the 30 Duffy in new York on yw. Looks even better in person than the pics. Very spartan not many bells and whistles which is perfect for my needs. I think I'm going to buy it!

We are in agreement on price etc... I think it will fill a gap until I can get a 33 built ;-)

Looks like she's going to Steve law for some changes. The prop is pretty played to say the least.... From what I understand the last time she saw salt water was in your neck of the woods....

don't worry about order of prop nuts read Toni Athens article on either boatdiesel.com or Seaboard marine site under toni's tips. As long as you mount prop correctly nut order does not matter there are much more important aspects of fixation process. Lapped-sealed-key rounded and fitted-nuts torqued-final nut sealed epoxy or 5200-and aircraft wired last nut(not cotter pinned).

I am not sure on the 5200 on the nut threads. You do not want to isolate them from the bonding system. The wire also looks fragile for electrolysis a heavy cotter pin is my choice. Lastly if the nuts were to back off on a nut slam it could sear the wire but not a heavy duty SS cotter pin.

I agree. Also, im not so sure about the anti sieze either. I dont think that you are supposed to use it below the water line do to electrolisis.

we use the boat blue crabbing and shift into reverse 500 times a day, had the prop nuts come loose twice, never lost anything luckily. after that started using 5200 it works great, then started using thread lock it works better (the blue kind so you can get it off when it's time)

I'm not completely out yet. A few valuable pieces of info came up that definitely changed my perspective as to value.... But time will tell....

He came back to me at $37500. After I went and saw it. Got a few issues, nothing that can't be worked through. I offered $35k. No matter where you move it from where it is to the ocean is $2k. I talked to the guy who built it and it's Spartan as in very Spartan. I talked to the broker today and he thinks they got a guy sniffing at $45k. Time will tell....
