repco design info

I see from reading all the posts that I might be able to clear up some confusion on the plug for the 30 Repco . My uncle Harold built 7 or 8 wooden 27 footers and fished them all for a season before selling them. The last one he stretched to 30 ft and he liked that a lot better, and that boat was the plug for the 30. It was his design not pulled from a boat in Jonesport, although it does carry the look of many of the Jonesport designs. He learned how to build a wooden lobsterboat from a man named Harv Church, a name some people in the Gouldsboro, Milbridge area will remember.

Just picked up a 30 repco with a 200 Volvo up under the trunk cabin. Drove it home from NJ to ME. Cruised it at an easy 70% cruise at 12-12.5 knots. Hull runs real easy at this speed. Got around 3 miles/gallon. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Red one from LBI by any chance?
Best of luck with her, That was a steal if it’s the one I’m thinking of!

John, Its me. Drove it home for $400 in fuel, a few fuel filters, an oil change and a new impellor. So far so good. Need your help sorting out the keel cooling circuit, it is laid out funny.

Jersey, yeah, same boat. It is all there, but needs paint and some mechanical freshening. The previous owner's heart was in the right spot, but same basic maintenance items were overlooked for a long time. I got it for a fair price.
