From the front with the stepped sheer it looks like a 35 JC.
What are your thoughts?
Looks nice but don’t know much about the motor. Is she was overpriced? Is the step sheer a negative thing?

Atlantic builds a very high quality boat, looks very clean. She’s been in the same berth in Stage Harbor for a long long time. I think she was featured on the AB website too. Very pretty boat. As long as a survey shows that maintenance has been performed as well as it appears my guess is it’s priced correctly and someone will pay it, soon.

My boat was next boat out of the mold 3 inches extra sheer gave better head room and no engine box 4 inch step into cabin. From what I remember the price was about 100 g higher than price now. Nice boat plenty of bells and whistles .

I may be mistaken... but I think the 63 series Volvo is a higher HP than 265? Could be 370 HP.

So is mine. Hopefully, the broker will verify/correct the listing if it is incorrect.

Thoughts on this specific Volvo engine? I spoke with the broker, but dragging my feet given mixed opinions on Volvo. I'm getting a lot of "good motors, but very expensive to repair." Accurate?

For all Diesel engines, repair costs start at: Expensive, then go to Very Expensive, Outrageous and then Extremely Outrageous. No getting around it if you have a problem.

True. No argument from me. Maybe a better question is are Volvo part prices that much worse than the rest?

In my experience yes, but that may be changing with other manufactures, have you seen the cost of a CAT Impeller lately? If you like the boat, Volvo makes a good engine that is reliable, I would not let that stop the sale if you want it.
