26' Webber Cove lobster boat.
Hey everyone, Im getting the new boat shipped soon and the mover needs to know the approximate weight and the beam of the boat. She is a 1986 BHM 31 . She is built as a lobster boat with out a lot of bells and whistles or extra bullshit. TD-506 gear and a 220 isuzu. Anyone know what she may weigh??? My guess was about 15,000 but I am not sure. Any help would be great, Also need to know the beam. I think its like 11' 10". thanks in advance fellas.

Mine's an 89 with a full house (slightly larger than yours) with a sliding door, and a dinette, a td507 and a volvo tamd63p, a full transom, and nothing below except the v-berth. I think the roof and gunnels are aired cored, but the rest is solid glass. The prior owner said he figured it to come around 19k.

I don't know what the tiles add to your weight. Your house is lighter, your engine is lighter, trannies probably close. Don't know what you have below, but 15k is probably close

19K!!!!! Holy shit. that sounds pretty fucking heavy. But if that is an accurate weight then I guess that mine might be around 15k seeing as she has a lot less trim on her.

Can anyone else chime in to verify these #s????

Its probably under 15K

That's probably a pretty close guess though

My brother had a BHM 31 and I think you are a little high at 15000. The engine weights approx. 1200 lbs w/o gear. The configuration is pretty sparse so my guess is about 13000 - 14000.

I would guess around 13K also. I know it is a different boat but I had my 31 Duffy with enclosed house, solid glass hull and yanmar diesel on the travel lift yesterday and the lift scales showed 13,000K lbs

1990 Flye Pt. 32 BHM
Mines finished as a cruiser, Flye Pt, so longer house, stand up head, hanging locker down below, fridge, propane cook stove with oven, dinette, 2 100 gallon glass fuel tanks, 210 cummins, prob a lot heavier than yours. When she arrived, I weighed her, and came in 12,800lbs, and she had 65 galling of fuel in the tanks. Beam is 11 ft 6 in.

That's helpful info, mine is similar to Jwalka, short cabin just bunks below, I have a 3208 so that adds some weight, 1985 model, I doubt if the layup changed much from 1985 to 1990? Maybe one of the boat builders on here would know the answer to that question?

Just get it on a trailer and get it up here !! Then on the way home next fall you can tow mine back from Seattle !!

The beam is 11' 6", less at the transom.

Several years back one of the travel lifts had a scale on it and they claimed it weighed in at 19,000 lbs. That was will a full load of fuel and 210 Cummins 6bt. I have a lot of wood in mine but I would say anywhere from 15k - 19 k is in the right range. They are very heavy boats with lots of glass.
