Why do boats out of NY and NJ always have those double anchor set ups? You can instantly tell where a boat is from when it has that. Is it for staying in a position over structure?

The south shore of Long island is nothing but sand for 60 miles. but there are more then a few wrecks . Some are only 50’ . Without 2 anchors you will drift right off the wreck and back into the sand. It takes a talented Captain to pin the boat on top. But that’s were the fish are.

I recall that one, it was for sale at the same time as this one. I think this one was brought from MA by the previous owner to NJ and changed hands last year (stayed in NJ). The PO and I keep in touch as he ended up getting into the same boat I run and I answered some questions for him about the boat when he was looking.
