I notice the H&H has the knob (ornament) on the forward upper tip of the bow.
Anyone know the story behind those ?
I always thought that was a BHM thing but thats just an observation from seeing so many BHMs with them

The knob on the bow is a traditional look going back to the era of wooden boats. The stem would extend up through the deck for stregnth.

As for the partially painted boat was for effect to get the boat a proportional appearance not just a big Clorox bottle

Started as a spec boat. Took the boat to a point that if could be finished for any type of use. The cuddy is rough out with bunk bulkheads counter and the head compartment laid out. All the bulkheads from the main aft are in and ready for the framing. The fuel tanks are fabricated and ready to go in.

I spoke with Bruce Gindel up @ H&H about a QSB 380-480 fitting under the deck.
The answer is yes with a small step up.

Having a 32 H&H with a QSB 480, the step is not that small

What do you figure??? 7" step?????

My step up may be a bit higher than strictly necessary, but I would say my step up is about 10 or 11 inches

Lots of trade off's when putting a big engine in what is a relatively small boat.

Peter,

Yes, isn't ALL in boating/boats a tradeoff?? LOL

But, you average what???? 19-20 knot cruise in your 32 and I think the boat is built heavily as a cruiser??

What do you figure you could have settled for in power if not the QSB 480.........speed wise ??????
