Thanks for the info on these I spoke w the broker and it seems to be an awesome price for the condition and the hours.. Buddy of mine made a good point that spray rails would prob go a long way.. Little bit less interested now due to your reviews on the ride.. Guess I just have to hold out for that Duffy!

I looked at one a few years ago. I'm not sure this is correct but beleive the the 32 is a stretched thirty. Seems like that prop and rudder are a long way up under that boat.
Not sure if thats a good thing or not, just pointing it out.

The prop and rudder are too far forward like DBM said. I'm kind of surprised the boat would be considered rolly, it has a lot of flat bottom surface that should make it stable. Nice looking boat.

I looked at this boat in Rockland, Maine almost 2 years ago. I saw it on the web and on the hard. I viewed it without the broker. The boat was in nice condition. At that time I was somewhat interested. I recall the broker told me he thought there was a buyer in the Caribbean, so I did not follow up as it seemed like it was about to sell. He also indicated the price was going to be close to asking. These estate sales can be interesting. I may not remember correctly, I thought this was a Libby design. With the power and condition, it seemed like a nice deal. It did seem small and narrow. Smaller than a BHM 31 I was also looking at. The specs indicated it would move along nicely in the high teens. I can not vouch for how much it will roll. Good luck. The condition was good.

MDI you are probably right.
Here is the info that I had. It came from Mid-Coast Yacht Broker site Hal Oakes. I have no way to prove his site is correct.

"MDI or Mount Desert Island Boatworks - 30, 32, 37, 45 - by Ernest Libby Jr. Great Wass Island, Beals, Maine

30 30-1 x 11-1 x 3-2
32 32-0 x 11-0
37 37-7 x 13-3 x 3-10
45 45-0 x 15-3 x 4-7"

Mid Coast lists many builders and designers. My recollection came from this source. Anyway the boat was in decent shape.

i like how the engine sits down nice and low on a built down. that flush cockpit make the boat that much bigger. low profile wheelhouse, with smaller windows. like it.

Nice, but I think a 300 hp 6BTA burns more than 8gph at WOT.
