33 Crowley Beal "Sun Dog" lobster boat

There was some "interest" in this 33 Crowley Beal last week.

Trying to fight the "boredom of winter" I took a ride to Portland on Monday and hopped the ferry out to Long Island ME where the boat is located.
I was picked up @ the ferry pier by Steve Johnson (owner of Johnson Boat Yard) who built this 33 footer for the owner.

Steve told me he's built many 33 and 36 Crowley Beal DEs including the 36 foot "ambulance boat" ! I didn't get a chance to see this 36 but he says it has "all the latest" in emergency medical care equipment.

OK, back to the Sun Dog. It's a ruggedly built no frills lobster boat with a John Deere 6081 AFM 375. Boat/engine is 2005/2006. The boat has a 200-225 gal. single fiberglass fuel tank and full hydraulics.

btw, interesting boat yard. Lots of 28,33 and 36 Crowley Beals, a 35 Duffy and many other DE hull/builds.

Depends what you have to do to it to make it the way you want. For someone who is going to use it for tuna fishing i don't think it is quite set up for that. For me it is ready to go so maybe when the time is right and the boat is still available i may have to pay 85k unless something else comes up in between that would be better for me.

Your crazy you can't base a value on what you need to do to set it up for you. You base a value on what your buying that looks like a sweet boat I can see paying 70/80,000 for it its a nice like new lobser boat not some toy its a work boat fear deal at what he wants
