Bought the 33 kit home from Flowers on July 12 2010. Will see the water spring of 2012. 300 gal fuel, Yanmar engine, 2.5 to 1 trans spinning a 26/31 prop. As time permits I will post in sequence to progress to where I am currently.
The indirect fired heater is the best and only way to go. Only takes a half hour to heat up on a 20 degee night. Just a FYI, double line the ceiling wrap to stop the condensation as the inside will sweat from the heat.

Due to the angle of the shaft and being a built down design allows for specs outside the traditional math. Will still need to fine tune upon sea trials.
Well look at you go! So far I've been quite well received here...nothing like the NorEast forum. Anyways you've done a good job finishing this boat and you should show it off.
I will be living vicariously through you!! If I could build one from new this would be the one,I am jealous. I would stuff it with a QSB 5.9 @ 425hp what are you going to stuff it with?
Some more pictures of the progress. I installed a 420 Yamar and expect to criuse at 20 to 22 knots. The center box between the fuel tanks is insulated with four inches of foam for cold storage. Fresh water is 25gal and waste is 20gal.
x2 to what Bryan said very impressive project you got going there im glad I got to see it in oerson, cant wait to see it in the water this summer!! We will have to raft up and have a few beers at duck island!!!
Nice job on the finishing so far. I thought it was clever to use the hurricane ties and L-brackets to provide strength but easily removed to get to mechanicals for service or removal.
I also coated the galv ties with mil spec epoxy for added protection from rusting, the stringer are also screwed. the whole thing might be overkill but only want to go there once.
Just curious, did you coat the inside of the ties with the same epoxy? And what did you use? Looks like a POR product. What is your deck going to be constructed of?
