I want to use the boat for a month or 2 so I’ve got a few projects I’m doing to get into the water.
Cleaning up dash & helm. Removed a bunch of old wiring, filling. All holes, re-gelcoat.
Then I’ll install new electronics and
    Reinstall everything at helm.
Winterback door slid open to stb.
    Removed door & tracks.
Fill all holes and re-instal so door opens to port. (Planning to build a box outside stb side of winterback, move cockpit steering & controls off washrail and instal in new box. Add a hauler to box also.
Got a busy winter planned for lots of other work.

Trying to decide left or right.
    It’s definitely going overhead.

How about in line with the one on the left but far back so it leaves the counter space in front of it? I like a radio overhead but not screens if it can be avoided. Find myself looking all over the boat all the time.

Nooooo! What happened to the AP35 autopilot?? Let me know if you still have it, I literally just sold mine to another Downeast Forum guy but I immediately regret it. Best pilot ever IMO! Only potential issue is it uses its own heading sensor, not a shared NMEA2000 sensor so if compass is inaccurate it can cause problems if trying to follow a Go To/Waypoint. PM me if you have it with a pic of the front and back along with how much you'd like for it, but no hard feelings if you want to test the open market or give it to a friends. Nice progress Ronnie! Love the FBW 33..

    I’m
Leaning towards overhead to the left.
It’s going to be dedicated for side scan & forward looking liveview scan and want to be able to see when driving from rear station through stb winterback window.
Want the VHFs overhead to the right as I reach for the microphones with my right hand.
Also need to leave space overhead for motors for the air horn.

The AP35 is absolutely staying, although I’m thinking of patching the cutout where it was flush mounted so I can move it closer to me sitting in the helm seat.
The AP35 & the Furuno 1850 sounder (along with everything else at the helm) were removed to be cleaned and so I can re-gelcoat dash and surrounding areas.
It’s going to be interfaced with the (2) 12 inch Garmin screens.

Curious how you decided on Garmin? Didn't you have Simrad electronics?

Filler work filling all old holes done.
A bit more sanding & I’ll be gelcoating the next few days then installing new electronics and everything back to helm.
This hot & humid swamp ass weather has been brutal and hard to work on !!!
I cut back house more to my liking and increasing cockpit useful size.
Laying out rear steering station on winterback.
Was considering a hauler but the boat has the huge anchor winch up on the bow and I want to reuse tackle storage units that were in the boat elsewhere

Move it in or out ? No.
The center door closed to stb.
I removed door & tracks. Reversing it to open to port.
Stb side wheelhouse helm, I want the rear steering station stb also.
It’s currently on the washrail stb about 6/7 ft back from the winterback.
I want to be able to drive from the cockpit and see what’s in front of me and see the electronics.
    Also.
I can just imagine driving from the wheelhouse & some idiot playing with the controls and and or steering wheel. Plus the boat has a bow thruster control aft as well as the wheelhouse at the wheelhouse helm.

As you you know Ronnie mine is set up the same way. Works real well for all the things you just mentioned. As far as the thruster goes I dont think you will even need it, these boats are very nimble and handle like a dream. Looking great!

The bow thruster is just 1 of the many unnecessary things the boat came with but I’ll put it to use since it’s there.
Would have been nice if it also had a 500-600 hp QSC like yours

At the rate you get things done I wouldn’t bet against you having one eventually, if thats what you want!
I love those Volvo’s they have quite a lot of torque and in my opinion are under rated for there horsepower rating as well. The thruster is nice if your drifting baits and want to adjust how you sit relative to the tide and trough. It may actually be nice for you and Leos application.

could you install a hauler on the outside of the house, the gearbox and motor looks like it could fit between the cabinet and the house wall ? Run your anchorline right into the round hatch.
