This is the hull that my father, brother and myself will be rebuilding.
It is currently down to stringers and thats about it. The bulkhead in the picture will be coming out and being replaced.

Will def. update as progress is made.

Harpoon83,

I talked with your dad last week about the Cummin 315/330 U3 are considering. If you go with the 6BTA RECON you made a great choice,
very very good engine and easy to wrench/maintain yourselves!

When you get the project going I'd LOVE to take a peek @ the progress.
I live about 5 mins from the Groveland Bridge !!

Good luck, looking forward the build !!!

Bill D,
Thanks for the numbers on the 6bt cummins...it looks like the way to go. I'm waiting for local quotes so I can compare ...I don 't expect those numbers will be beaten. Feel free to stop by....hopefully there will be more to see in a month or so.

Wound Up,
I was going to stick build it ( frame it,plywood, then glass) but I know these hulls are weight sensitve...so i'm looking at composites now.

MDI...the hull was red, we sanded it down and thats the first coat of white primer that we put down.
YB didnt have a molded top, but i believe another mold is used and modified to fit the hulls now.

33 YB rebuild

yes...good hull everything else is junk

Here is a rehab of a 33 Young brothers I pulled off of noreast.com

Saltwater Fishing Discussion Board Including Inshore Fishing, Offshore Fishing, Saltwater Fly Fishing and Kayak Fishing

The boat has been in the "in the family" for a few years I believe.

The photos might give you some ideas on the "lines and layout"

Here's the photobucket link to the 33 YB "Wake UP"

MDI, in short nothing was worth saving except the hull and the forward deck framing, oak i believe. The plan is the build it to last a very long time, so we don't want to start off with old rotten stuff ya know, all new.
