Are you guys panning this boat because of the Peninsular engine? I agree it is a big negative and probably takes $10-15,000 off the value it would have had with one of the big 4 marine engines.

It sounds like it was recently repowered. I can't imagine why someone would choose a Peninsular unless it was real, real cheap, like $5K.

But having said that, I did a search on boatdiesel and they don't sound that bad. Parts are available everywhere and Peninsular is still in business. Difficult maintenance access no doubt due to all of the marine bits in the way was the only real complaint.

Look at all the photos. Is it really a 35'? The beam looks too narrow. Look at the cockpit photo with the chairs. Could it be a 31 with an extended cabin. Something doesn't look right to me. Anybody else? No dimensions in the ad.

It looks like the builder/finisher created built in storage around the entire boat (under washboards that extend to the sole). This makes the boat appear to be smaller than it is to the naked eye IMHO.

Cough... sawzall... cough

A set up like that is a good way to wind up going for a swim.
