If you’re familiar with the Calvin Beal hull, you appreciate the proportions and especially the beam on these boats. They are probably the most seaworthy and stable boats for their size. With a wide open cockpit that is almost 14’ x 14’, you’ll have no shortage of room for fishing, entertaining or whatever you want to do with her. There’s even an aft steering station located in the cockpit to allow for operation while fishing or entertaining. Forward of the cockpit is a totally enclosed wheelhouse sealed off from the elements by a 42†sliding Diamond Sea Glaze “vault†door which is wide enough to really open up the wheelhouse to the aft space during nicer weather.
The wheelhouse has two swivel helm seats, custom made by Arrigoni Design to starboard and an L-shaped, cushioned, sunbrella-fabric seat to port with storage beneath. Sliding windows on port & starboard with screens and two hinged opening windshield windows and two fixed. Head room is approx. 6’5â€. There is no motor box as the engine sits beneath a soundown lined flush deck.
Down below there is a galley to port equipped with a microwave / toaster combination, a refrigerator, single burner electric cook top, sink and plenty of drawer storage space. To starboard an enclosed head with toilet, vanity, sink, mirror, plenty of storage and a separate stand up shower. Head room is approx 6’ 2â€.
Up forward there is a hanging locker and a huge V-berth with the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever seen on a boat; no 4†foam cushions here! Beneath the V-berth two doors and two drawers for storage. An anchor locker is forward of the V-berth and access to the bow thruster is beneath the mattress. Perforated vinyl head liner and vinyl foam-backed hull liner throughout interior. Cherry trim throughout the interior completes the finish. The head is trimmed out with teak.
This 36’ Calvin Beal has had one owner who has witnessed every step of construction, finishing & commissioning. She is built as tough as they come, and has been fitted out with many creature comforts for cruising. In the water during winter 2012/2013 and ready for show. Price out a new 36’ Calvin Beal hull with similar accommodations, consider the schedule to complete and then come see what you can get NOW for a very reasonable price. This is a turn-key vessel; all you have to do is wipe my tears off the deck, start her up and cast off the lines and you can cruise her to your home port. I will include a day of my services for familiarization of the boat and all her systems. Selling due to a recent relocation. This boat is extremely clean, has never been fished or abused, professionally maintained and thoroughly enjoyed.
