This might be too personal, but being someone that has followed ALL of your builds posted, I have to ask WHY??? I thought this was built exactly for your needs?! Do I sense another build coming??? Maybe a 42?? By the way, if I had the $$$, I'd buy this boat in a second!! Your builds are awesome!! The details are very well thought out!

Thanks guys. I'm a 4 year boat owner at best. Since I have been a kid me and my dad have probably had over 100 boats. Right now we have 5 between the two of us. I will most likely take a year to get things and financing in order to build my dream boat. That will be a 42/43 with around 900hp. But I change my mind more then my underwear. This boat is defiantly the perfect fit for me, I just wish it was as fast as my old boat cruising at 23 knots. In order to make that happen I have to lay down more money then I could ever get back so it might be time for a change. If it doesn't sell no big deal, see ya on the edge!

I didn't have the clearence in the door to get the boom I got use of so out the top it came. in the long run i think it was easier that way.

Northern Bay 36 - Modified
absolutely!
i dont like having to do things like that either but it is way more cost effective and quicker to just get the butcherin' tools and get it done
on antique wooden boats though the owners frown on that severely
the lashups that ensue are downright scary sometimes

Having replaced a pr. of 6BTAs in the Blackfin using a girder/trolley and a crane, I always think about how to make an engine removal/replacement in the "next" boat easier.

I "fantasize":) about a BIG removal hatch in the helm cabin roof....just in case !!!
