Not for nothing Mike, you have the perfect Gillnet boat. I know where there is a mint net reel for sale, we could bolt it up and run hydraulics in 1 day. Why would you buy another boat?

I was looking at one in mass a few month before i got the bert, i liked the layout, although not to beamy. I ran into someone on noreast who owned one and said it was one rolly boat. I can't back it up with real world, never been on one but for the price they were asking i just moved on.

Mike,
You've got a nice big boat to choke fish out of!! I'd look into putting one of these double drums on the boat, they are used on the columbia river so they can keep 2 sizes of gillnets on the boat. What did Peter do with the ball rollers i built and he got when he bought my old boat. I still think those things were great for hauling gillnets. I've been out of the gillnet loop back there for a long time so i guess they way of fishing has changed. Let me know if you need any advise on building nets, i've hung miles of them for fish on both coasts.

This one is on a bowpicker, each drum can be used seperately, they have a simple clutch built into them to lock/unlock each side.

very similar split reel for sale local. call me if you want to check it out. Hauling over the stern on a rolly boat sucks by the way. Your boat is perfect, have Rick make some flush, threaded mounting pads, so when you are rod and reeling no one trips. I did the same with the RP. Quick connects on the hydraulics and you can take it on/off in 20 minutes with a forklift. It is nice fishing, and you can fish solo, if thats what you want to do. Let me know
